28:50 wrong! The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 had multiple cameras. The S10 wasn't the first one. And the S9 also had it

nice and what about side by side comparison between iPhones and Galaxys since their launch and their features

  • @123456qwerty939 on June 8, 2024

gotta agree about the s9 being peak samsung. i had an s9+ for a while before i upgraded to the s10 and there were so many conveniences from the 9 that i missed on the 10 like the notification led and the rear fingerprint scanner being able to pull down the notification shade with a swipe down. plus the in-screen scanner was so much slower than the physical scanner

  • @Music121unknown on June 8, 2024

Oh, I had the Samsung Galaxy S2, my brother got it for me for my birthday. It was a great phone but I ended up selling it to my father for a cheap price many years later since the outdated OS no longer would support many important functions. It still works great, I think he uses it as a media player now. I miss it sometimes, It was cute and small, but at least I know it's in good hands.

  • @hamburglar83 on June 8, 2024

A video of top phones by year would be cool. I was late to the game but the phones I’ve had were: htc thunderbolt, Samsung s4, Motorola nexus 6. iPhone 7plus, iPhone 12pro and iPhone 13 mini.

    Brings back memories
My first name brand phone was a galaxy s5 my mom got me brand new, loved that phone

After that I got a galaxy s8 in 2018, and oh my god I can still vividly remember the feelings it gave me it was so new I mean nothing else was like it at the time, felt like a true piece of technology

I ended up getting 3 s9s after that because I kept breaking phones 😂
Then I was very fortunate again and my mom’s boyfriend gave me a galaxy note 10 plus(the colorful one) and wow!!! Incredible device I truly can’t say a bad thing about it it was insane, I unfortunately broke it though and fixed the screen and resold it

Then I went to the s21, kind of a big downgrade but the s21 was brand new at the time so I felt like a badass
Ended up getting 3-4 of those cause I kept breaking them lol
Next I got a galaxy s22+ when it came out, and I loved that phone, once again had to get 3 or 4 of them because they broke alot( I never like using cases, takes away from the phone for me)
I still have a cracked s22+ sitting on my desk the screen won’t come on, still had all my old pics and data one day I’ll get it fixed lol

Now I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max
And it’s pretty good but deep down Samsung has my heart

All that being said, nostalgia wise the s5 was great and had some solid features
But the s8 and s9 I think were peak Samsung

Runner up would be the note 10 + as I really really enjoyed that phone

  • @SayakMajumder on June 9, 2024

Still baffles me is, you guys didn't get the non-carrier variants (the OG international variants) of the first Samsung S phones … like stock S2 had one of the best designs of its time (albeit plastic) and much better than the Sprint variant shown here.
And it reflects in the S3 part, 8:16, the 3 button layout was there since S1, again in OG international variant. What happened in SIII was Samsung didn't redesign the phone for US carriers.
15:00 Samsung got quite a flak for the S5 design. The plastic design repetition & the weird back texture. Even though the design was consumer friendly, which Samsung was trying to offer. But the design wasn't favourable and … Even So much so, that there was some hefty internal design team shuffling that became public. They even announced that the next S phone will have some serious redesign and hence we got the iPhone 4/Xperia Z -esque glass sandwich design for S6. And the same consumer space then became divided. They liked the new design but the non-removable battery and other short comings were not viewed fondly.
28:02 S10 is also famous for launching with One UI instead of touchwiz.

  • @adegbenroagoro5180 on June 9, 2024

My first Android phone was the Samsung Galaxy S2 in 2011. Imo the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco sounded the death knell of the Galaxy Note series. Samsung months later for the first time came out with an S+ version. The Galaxy S8 + which was a souped up S8 and very similar in specs to the subsequent Note 8. Prior to that the Note series had the best Samsung could provide. When Samsung saw more people were content with the S+ versions they decided to discontinue the Note series. Personally I still believe the Galaxy S Ultra phones should be named the Galaxy S Note since the 2 series were merged.
